"The one constant in the universe, Change" who said it? Don't care. All I know is that Russia has their head up their @$$ and that whole plot of land from Russia to Georgia needs to be turned into an Amusment Park like good O'l John Toradze said with the enfises of making a really big parking lot out of it. Those people are worthless, and full of hate. They want to stick their chest out to make sure we think there bad asses but the reality is, there're all of full of animosity and hate. We need a big glass parking lot, screw'em. They have no shame and when I hear of or see inocent people getting hurt it makes me want to hurt them. I hate Russian ideals. I now maybe someday we can make a time machine that enables to snd a whole country back to barbarick midevil times and leave there sorry asses there. I'm out

If Bush has a hair on his @ss he will send anti-air patriot missiles and anti-tank TOW missiles to help the Georgians. This would be a justifiable use of our assets and it would stop Jets and Tanks in two days. Let Russia think about their aggression more seriously after their air force is in flames.

Comrade Putin is still back in the 50's and has been p.o'd about Georgia wanting to join nato. Putin knows if they are in a border dispute NATO can't accept them. Too bad he is killing people to stop it from happening.

    To Alex,
I would have to disagree with you. Military vehicles are clearly Georgian. Russian military does not uses such type of personal carriers. Whose cars are eather American or British made. As for the flag -yes on the background you can see a flag pole with russian flag

Read this! news .bbc News and PR at USA aren't shows all picture of tragedy which was INITIATED BY GEORGIA by killing childrens and womans! news at msn com about this situations does not contains dead bodyes of abhasian childrens which was killed by bombs from georgia and ethnic cleansing!
So is this normal to fake facts in USA's news? This was created by Georgians aggressors in early morning, not russian army! And at many many news-site written just one phrase: "Russian's tanks entering the georgia!" but never "Georgia killing childrens and womans by tanks and bombs!"

Why USA hates russians people?! Why you're trying to show us to your people as millitary-aggressors?!
All people which have brains, must understand that Russia can be biggest friend! I'am living in russia and i very like Quincy Jones,Christina aguilera and many many your musicians and respects people in usa! Dont mix goverments and simple people! Thanks, if you spend time to read this opinion.

Oh yes! Abkhazians are bad, Ossets are bad, Ajars are bad, Russians are bad. Only Georgians are good. Why? Because there is an oil pipeline going through Georgia and they like to join NATO. So they can abuse, kill, oppress all the minorities that live in their racist society. Hello!!! Wake up everyone it is the Abkhazians, Ossets and Ajars who are the underdogs not the Georgians in this case

Because of you there's a song in my heart....Yuri! We are Americans and we are more surprised than anyone about our wars and actions. When we are criticized it hurts to the core and when we are challenged we take up whatever weapons we have to defend the rights and freedoms our families have sacrificed their lives for . It is a never ending world of public opinion. We are not always proud of what we have to do, but there is a song in our hearts that keeps playing for advancing peace in the world, Peace for every man ,woman and child .Food ...for every man woman and child .Free new babies and a drug free world with clean air and water. lots of fields of sugar cane to corn and beans..it's a beautiful song in our hearts!

West wants to get Caspian Gas and oil without Russia and transport it through Georgia. Which is fine. No one likes to depend from anyone. For that they brought to power Mr. Saakashvilli. That gentleman was trained in New York and Washington to do his work. Which is also OK. Without South Osetia and Abhazia it is impossible to secure the transportation oil and gas to the West without negotiation with Russia. Mr. Sakashvilli gets funds and arms from US and other along with huge military help. Naturally as good employee, he conducts his duty before those who brought him up to power and paid for that. Here is everything understood. Mr. Sakashvilli and his team very good in PR. As a result we see the interview of him in CNN.(We don't see interview from any one else who involved in this conflict: hello to the free press:)) According to that piece of so to say independent press Russians are the monsters and Geogians are good guys, who defend themselves from Russian aggression (Russians bombed some military objects today) Mr. Sakashvilli outrage and asking for a help...
The night before Georgian troops in self defence of course bombard the Tshinvalli with full scale assault weapons: Heavy 152 mm artillery, tanks, war planes, System of reactive shelling "Katusha" and its analog LAP....Sleepy city of 30,000 people is almost destroyed, hundreds of civilian casualties and so on and so on....
People pleas wake up, rise above nationalistic state of EGO. Someone should stop these. Here I have herd that Mr. Sakashvilli should be placed on Criminal Tribunal... may be....But it seems to me that if he is seriously mental and should be seeking medical help. For those who supplied him with power, please next time be more carefull about right guys for the needed job. So pity that Georgia is motherland of people like Stalin, Beriya and now this one... But it also true that every nation deserves its king.

Realpolitik will obviously back the use of military force in this situation. Will the Russians stop in S. Ossetia or will Georgian aggression necessitate the capture of Tbilisi? Will still further aggression require the occupation to extend all the way to the border of Iran?

I would agree with Strok. Russia was looking for that war, but did not bomb Tbilisi just for sake of getting Osetia.

It is obvious that Saakashvilli started the war. He did not take any precautions to avoid casualties among civilians. He did it cowardly a few hours after he claimed about cease fire.

How can anyone believe him any more?

PS I prefer republicans over democrats, but McCain made a great mistake by allying himself with Georgians and Obama showed he's much more reasonable.

Hearing all this stuff about war and how Russia is the bad guy and how Georgia is the bad guy and now China is mixed in and how the US should get in it and save the world is sooooooooooooooooo imaginary. John Toradze, whoever you are, whatever you are is of no importance to me, nor to anyone actually.
Right now I can only see innocent people being killed on either side. If I've said it once I've said it a million times, let the leaders of these two countries go at it their selves. Put them in a field, give them each a gun and then let them have a go at each other. War never, ever does anything but hurt the innocent. Ask anyone who has had someone killed during any war, ANY WAR, the innocent, not any political person, an innocent farmer, an innocent skilled trade worker, a home maker, a secretary, and they'll tell you their loved on was killed b/c they were following orders from who...........a country's leader who for whatever stupid, yes stupid reason decided to cause a war over money, gas, oil, silk who knows. I hate war and always will
Just think out beautiful the world would be if all hotheads were sent to one island and allowed to fight and hurt and kill each other while the rest of us got along and traded ideas, food, supplies and helped each other regardless of race, religion etc.
John Toradze you exhaust me. You are full of anger and yelling and saying wild things that if no one believes the way you do..........it angers you. All what you say is BORING b/c it's all about you, you, you..............and then you throw in a few innocent children and women killed, but not b/c it's horrible, but b/c it's shock value you believe is good for you when in actuality it just makes you look even more boring.
My young friend from Abkhazia did get back w/me and is well at this time. I worry that some hothead, who cares where he/she is from, will enter his country and cause havoc only b/c .........well I don't know why b/c I do not understand war at all.
My son lost his best friend to the war in Iraq. A medic that was there trying to patch up American soldiers. I am angry w/Bush over that. I blame his death on Bush and I choose not to call it anything but what it is, murder by way of George Bush.
Just find something peaceful if only for a day and get all thoughts of revenge for the people for the past 2000 years. Whatever, now is now and it's time to stop all this. I feel like I'm talking to my kids when they were young and cried b/c they wanted a lollipop and I told them no.
You can never bring the past up and make it right. I know there is suffering in the world from leaders who want all killed that are different from them and I condemn them most assuredly.
At this point in my life I really do hate all world leaders. I wish so much they'd just all shut up and worry about peace. Each country is different and they all need to understand that. No more innocent people killed b/c a leader wants them dead for his own stupid reasons.
How do these ugly mean people get into power? I'll never understand how Hitler was allowed to do what he did. How did people follow him and believe in him?
MEN!!!! I will never ever understand such horrid stuff.
                            Peace to you all...............Indiana

Amen. It really is crazy how such monsters become leaders of nations. We, the people, put them there and seem to accept anything they do. I am ex-military and am a supporter of peace, but when I speak out against war I'm called unpatriotic. I guess I just don' t get it.

Why is the Bush Administration getting involved? I'm so tired of our presidents trying to play Super-cop... They give the impression that America has the biggest ego. Maybe we'll NEVER see world peace... So lets's just concentrate on American Peace. Spend more time manufacturing over here... Helping to reduce poverty. Fight gangs and drugs... Clean the trash all over the place.

Sticking our nose in other peoples affairs is not affecting out American pride. If you want to take pride in your country... Take care of your country. Stop the imports. Stop the debt. Stop the pollution and stop the violence. We think putting metal detectors in school will solve crime. Doesn't anybody see a problem with the fact a young child can get his hand on one in the first place? Isn't anybody concerned with why a child so young has so much anger?

America is so stressed out. America is so angry. The people of America can no longer relax and they don't find joy in things they did 10 years ago or more. The last thing we need to do is get involved in another conflict and waste even more billions we don't have.

We need to be more strict in some area's... It looks like freedom turned on us.

The world must understand that Russia today acts like Germany did in 1933-1945. If we ignore that fact we are no better than those countries which allowed Hitler to step-by-step take control over Europe in the 1930's. Europe, UK and USA should not watch this circus that the Kremlin's politicians are playing, mouths shut and pretending that "this is not our business". We do not want to see history repeating itself. This uncalled-for action by Moscow is everybody's business.

People come on - do you really think that Georgia (with a population of 4,4 million, a territory of 69,700 km², one of the smallest countries in the world) wants to fight or occupy anyone else's land or is any kind of threat to colossal Russia (with a population of 142 million, a territory of 17,075,400 square kilometers, one of the largest countries in the world)? I think it's just the opposite. And Georgia has a right to defend its' independence.

The interesting fact is that Russia is one of the biggest countries in the world, they do not know how to handle the territories which they already have, but they just want more for the sake of expanding.

Another interesting fact is that no-one wants to play with the country mentioned earlier in the same "sand-box". And why is that so? Let me tell you a story: Imagine all the little kiddies playing in harmony in a sand-box. Then suddenly someone jumps into that sand-box, saying "you are all Nazis, this is now our common possession. Everything you have now belongs to me". Then he'll destroy all the little sand-castles, take all the children's lunches, toys and finally throws stones at people. After all that (when all the children have rushed into hiding) he pretends to not understand why no-one loves him.

Russia's present governments' goal is to rule the world ("We are important and everyone must understand that, and if you do not understand it, then we will force you to understand it!"). This is the only country in 21st Century Europe which actually thinks that war is the solution for everything. Do you believe it? Better do believe!

Russia's present government seems to need perpetual conflicts to feel important. Probably because they still do not have any kind of a stable economy. The more enemies the better!.

Wow! Just look at the so-called "enemies" of Russia. Russia looks arrogantly only at itself while victimizing tiny, small flea size countries who just want to live in peace, who hope that their cultures will survive and who only want to live by the rules of free economy.

The only fault these small countries have is that they have an arrogant neighbour with extremely imperialistic goals.

                                    Thank you for understanding.

Ah - a voice of sanity in the midst of insanity. Finally a voice that understands the politics of this "war". It is not Georgia against South Ossetia or Abkhazia - it is Russian provocation that has lasted ever since Georgia became independent. Maybe without the influence of Russia, there could be negotiation and compromise....

Well Mikhail from Russia. I know what i'm talking about. I know that probably every single place in the world is Russian historical territory and russias' concern. Kavkaz, Finland, Poland, Hungary, Georgia, Baltics.. etc.

Isn't it weird that always these flea size countrys are wanting something from russia, they always start the fight with bigger although they practically do not have military forces?

Terrible georgians are sending their tanks to Moscow, terrible Baltic states are sending their tanks to Moscow, terrible Finland send its' tanks to Moscow? Funny? Yes. Baltic states have together 1 tank, Georgia probably 2 pieces for protecting their people. Well Mikhail from Russia - your government lies to You. Russian government always lies. And you believe these lies. You probably even like these lies.

You Mikhail are the one who's whatching at the moment some Russian TV station which is /of course/ under total Kremlin control. You'll probably believe that Soviet "Union" came together hand-in-hand jumping of joy and hundreds of thousands used their free will to ride under russian soldiers supervision to Gulag to die - just because they did not had something else to do at the moment? Oh yeah - they were Nazis? No my dear. Just ordinary people who wanted to live their lives. Do you wanna know how russia appears to other people who are not living in russia? Read my comments. You do not like it? Want to eliminate me?

And your famous female journalist, Politkovskaya was she a nazi too? Oh she was killed by random pullet, some "criminals"? Yeah right. I have lived in a country which was 50 years occupyed by Russia. Yes - occupyed although Russia likes to use much better word instead of it - it's using the word "liberated". But let me tell you - it was NOT our free will to start sing #1 hit medleys like "Stalin is our father, halleluyah, Brezhcnev is our father, halleluyah" etc. same time throwing our previously blossoming economy down from toilet. We do not wanted to run around with naked bottoms, honestly. We do not wanted that foreign culture forces us to sing to the rhythm of balalaika.

You guys have very very big medical problems between your ears. It seems that you guys really do not understand what your governments' intentions are. You will think that you will save the world? God guys against nazis? Because there are only "ours" and "nazis" and historical Russian territories? Am i right? And at the moment Georgians are these bad guys who need to be liberated from their culture, lives, history?

You are not interested about the second opinion? If somone has second opinion let's eliminate him/her? You are able to kill whole nation? Yes of course, you are almighty, you have plenty of bombs and tanks but thats' holocaust dear Mikhail from Russia.

I'll hope that one day Russian government apologies all the holocausts it made during soviet period, makes apologies for period before that and makes apologies for period after that and says "We are sorry for all the the crimes we made against other nations". "You do not have to be afraid - we do not want to invade or kill you anymore".

This last sentence is my dream.

Dear Vlad, This is your good friend Mahmoud from Tehran. Someone told us that troops are massing on our norther border, maybe they are planning on invading our peaceful Islamic Republic. While you are in the neighborhood, do you think you might come and give us a small hand? We just need you to help restore the peace. And those barbarians, the Georgians, are sending troops from the American Imperialistic combat zone back to their country. Love, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. P.S. Please help save "peace for our time!" Yes, I think that's how Chamberlain put it...
